Inaugural
EMS FDNY HELP FUND
Humanitarian Awards Dinner
Thursday April 11, 2019

Each year, EMS FDNY Help Fund selects an individual who has generously supported the community as the recipient of the Humanitarian of the Year award. We appreciate the work they do and honor them for their work, generosity and support of organizations within our EMS footpring.  Proceeds of the Humanitarian of the Year event go to fund the programs that give back, helping individuals with developmental disabilities live a life without limits.  Help us celebrate this year’s humanitarian by attending the event, sponsoring or donating to our silent auction. Your donation matters. Thank you!

Our mission is to ensure the security of our Emergency Medical
Technicians and Paramedics and their families in the event of
death, injury, illness or hardship through the implementation
of a variety of fund-raising initiatives. Such projects may
include award presentation dinners, gala events, contests, raffle
drawings, and general community outreach activities. . Until
very recently, there were no funds designated expressly for
EMS FDNY Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.
These dedicated professionals can now have a peace of mind, in
the knowledge that their families will be taken care of should
the unthinkable occur.
On March 16, 2017 we suffered a tragic loss. FDNY Emergency
Medical Technician Yadira Arroyo made the Supreme Sacrifice
in the Line of Duty, when was she run over by her own
ambulance. It was this heartbreaking event that sparked the
urgent need for funds to support surviving family members,
and consequently, the establishment of the EMS FDNY
Help Fund. If you or a loved one has been on the receiving
end of EMS FDNY care, you are already familiar with the
professionalism these dedicated FDNY Emergency Medical
Technicians and Paramedics display. They efficiently attend to
the sick and injured while politely fielding questions from the
victim's panicked family, friends or co-workers.
Please show your appreciation for the fine men and women you
depend on in an emergency. Let's work together to ensure that
future generations of skilled professionals remain attracted to
our EMS FDNY force. That can only happen with your support.
If you cannot buy tickets to our Inaugural EMS FDNY Help
Fund Awards Dinner on April 11, 2019, please help with a
contribution. Any amount, no matter how small, will be greatly
appreciated. We thank you, and hope that you or your loved
ones never need us. But if you do, we are and ready to help.
